About Deborah

Deborah is a talented artist and photographer, who captures not only the physical beauty of a moment or a scene, but with the eyes of her heart she captures an emotional beauty that touches the soul. Twenty five years ago, she made Vancouver Island her home. From the memory of one brief visit as a child she knew she had to return to the Wild West coast. She has dedicated twenty four of those years working in government to preserve and protect some of the most scenic parks and trails on the south island.

Deborah sees Vancouver Island as an amazing gem with endless pockets of paradise.  Some of her work has earned her honourable mention. She has photographed and painted the elusive Vancouver Island Marmot with proceeds helping to fund marmot research. Her images and artwork have been featured in publications such as The Field Naturalist and Readers Digest and sold in outlets such as the Hudson Bay Company.  Some of her stunning large format images are displayed at the Galloping Goose Cafe in Langford or you may pass them on vehicles driving around town. Her unique designs are highlighted at rest areas along the famous Galloping Goose and Lochside Trails in the Capital Region. One of her murals hides a pumphouse at Francis King Park.
